Credits & Licenses

Epic Transformations is built with the help of open-source software and third-party media providers. This page lists those components and their licences, and provides the attribution required by them. References to a component name do not imply any endorsement by, or affiliation with, its authors.
OpenCut (in-browser video editor)
License: MIT License
Copyright: OpenCut Contributors
Source: github.com/OpenCut-app/OpenCut
The in-browser editor is based on OpenCut, used under the MIT License. The original copyright notice and the full text of the MIT License are retained in our distribution. The MIT name and logo are not used to brand the editor; the reference above is factual attribution only.
FFmpeg (server-side media processing)
License: GPL-3.0-or-later (build includes libx264)
Use: Server-side only (binary on our infrastructure); not distributed to or run in your browser
Project: ffmpeg.org
FFmpeg is used only on our servers as part of the generation pipeline and is not distributed to users. Because there is no distribution of the software to users, GPL obligations to publish our own source code are not triggered. We use an unmodified upstream build of FFmpeg version 6.1.1; we do not modify FFmpeg. The corresponding source code for that version is published by the FFmpeg project and is available from ffmpeg.org.
Mediabunny (in-browser export)
License: Mozilla Public License 2.0 (MPL-2.0)
Use: Client-side (runs in your browser) for video export
Project: mediabunny.dev (source: github.com/Vanilagy/mediabunny)
Mediabunny is used client-side to export your video in the browser. It is licensed under the MPL-2.0, which permits commercial and closed-source use. We do not modify Mediabunny's source files; if we did and distributed those changes, the modified files would be made available under the MPL-2.0.
LAME MP3 Encoder (via @mediabunny/mp3-encoder)
License: LGPL
Use: Client-side MP3 encoding, where used
Project: lame.sourceforge.io
Where MP3 encoding is used in the browser, it is provided through the @mediabunny/mp3-encoder package, which bundles the LAME MP3 Encoder. LAME is licensed under the LGPL, and its authors ask that a link to the project be provided, as above.
Transformers.js (in-browser transcription)
License: Apache License 2.0
Use: Client-side (runs in your browser) for local transcription
Project: github.com/huggingface/transformers.js
Transformers.js is used client-side for local transcription in the browser. It is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. We retain the required copyright and attribution notices, and the Apache 2.0 licence text together with the project NOTICE file (where one is provided) are preserved with the component and available from the project repository at github.com/huggingface/transformers.js.
ACE-Step (AI music generation, via WaveSpeed)
License:ACE-Step codebase released under the Apache License 2.0; music is accessed as a service through WaveSpeed under WaveSpeed's terms
Use: AI-generated background music, accessed through WaveSpeed
Project: github.com/ace-step/ACE-Step
Background music is generated through WaveSpeed using the ACE-Step model. The ACE-Step codebase is released under the Apache License 2.0. The music is provided to you as a service through WaveSpeed, and your right to use the generated music commercially as part of your finished video is granted under WaveSpeed's terms, as described in our Terms of Service.
Pexels (stock footage)
License: Pexels License
Provider: pexels.com
Some generated videos may incorporate stock footage from Pexels, used under the Pexels License. That licence permits commercial use; attribution is provided where appropriate. You may not redistribute the underlying stock clips as stand-alone files separately from a finished video.
